In Navigating Stories, Cassidy Cane travels to a small island in a world in a worldwide war. On the island, she meets the people who live in a small village, who lived peacefully before an air base was built close by. On the base, the base commander is trying to find a way to combat the navigational errors that seem to happen around the island. When Cassidy finds a cultural artifact that may solve the navigation issue, she must figure out how to balance the needs of war and the needs of the people of the island.
